FINDUMONDE: Interview for TOTAL FUCKING MAYHEM

TFM: Findumonde, this 4 piece death metal ensemble caught my attention via their bandcamp page. Their debut, Licantropia is a beast of a recording. Brutal, heavy, precise and the whole package within the death metal compound. It delivers the goods, without a doubt. They are in the process of writing new material, a new release and well...other stuff as well. But don't let me bore you by telling you what they're up to, let's hear it from Cristian and Seba themselves; here's what they had to say. Can you give us brief background? How was the band established?

Cristian: When I joined the band, it had already been formed by Seba (Jesus Martyr) on guitars, Edu (Embodiment & Jesus Martyr) on drums and Pollo (Banthis) on bass. They had been jamming together for quite some time. All I did was coloborate to the music that Seba had already written. This was something new to me and totally different than what I'm used to, but it was an easy process as it allowed me to develop the writing with a bit more freedom and to my taste.

TFM: The production on Licantropia is outstanding, and very heavy as well. Both instruments and vocals flow together with intensity and an unstoppable fury. What can you tell us about your experience in the studio?
Cristian & Seba: (Cristian) ~ It was a fairly quick process, we knew what we wanted going into the stuido and everything flowed with ease. We had been working on this material for quite some time and at the end, we we're very happy with the final result. (Seba) ~ Since we had been working for so long on these songs, it was just a matter of pressing the record button and develop our work in the studio.

TFM: Licantropia has been out for a few years now, are there plans to release any new material?
Cristian & Seba: (Cristian) ~ We are working on new material. (Seba) ~ Indeed, we have 5 new songs and our next release will be a 3 song disc from the demo of Licantropia (Lycanthropus, Ataque Sorpresivo, Medium). An additional acoustic songs will be included, this will be something new for us.

TFM: The internet is a very powerful tool which can help spread the name of a band on a global scale and at a relatively low cost. Are you surprised with the ground you've covered thus far thanks to the internet? Did you ever think you would reach out to so many people?
Cristian: I am very surprised with how much ground we've been able to reach through these last few months. Since the posting of our material via the internet, we've achieved a high level of satisfaction.
